Saturday dinner @ Watami ~ orchard ion mall

We love to eat and we like to try different cuisines and new restaurants!

I really thought we are going to eat at fish and co... Again! I like fish and co but i am in the mood for trying something else.

We actually stopped very near fish and co and kept throwing questions at each other ... Where do you want to eat ... Ummm, you? Where do you want? ... Hmmmm .... Up to you! ... Hmmm... Where can we eat? Anywhere.... I know at the back of my mind we might end up at the same restaurant all over again ... So, I just went straight to Watami!

This restaurant located in Ion has an interesting facade. You will not really see the people that are eating inside at the first glance. When you go inside... taddaaahhhh... Quite busy and quite noisy, I felt I was in a flea market haha..

We sat at this 4 seater table, the other 2 seats were already occupied. They made the menu book as the divider so it wouldn't be awkward for the 4 of you ( we don't know them! ) sharing the table! And that made our table really small.

We opt for the menu set good for 2 people. While we were waiting, the food of the couple on my left kept on coming. Ok there's the shabu shabu... Oops there's the fried pork chop ... Oh my, another shabu shabu... And I thought... Did we just order the same thing? I don't know if i should be happy or not? Haha... Loads of food!

At last our food arrived. They served it one by one. Just before we finished a dish.. Another one will arrive! haha...

I love this! Served in hot stone bowl. Rice, beef, corn.

I just want to show you the interior of the restaurant. Very modern and just beautiful.

Slash and Burn !

I am not complaining but my nose and throat do!!! For the past few days, I will find myself sneezing and coughing with my dry throat. My eyes really gets itchy. The best part, it really gets very tricky in the morning by being confused of seeing "it's gonna rain" mornings well in fact its just haze covering the morning sunshine. Too bad- we can't wear a whole body type of protective film to get rid of HAZE. This will make us look like scuba divers over land but surely will keep our eyes glow, so vanity wins in the end!

This is not winter breeze but haze covering the whole island as a result of slash and burn method of land cultivation:-( (Image from web)

Mooncake Madness!!!

Oh YES! the month of August in Singapore won't be so sweet without mouthwatering mooncakes! This is the only month of the year (until early weeks of September) where you get to taste those best mooncakes available in town- made by  hotels and classic Chinese restaurants with the traditional mooncake recipe mixed with modern colours and new flavours! "Shopping for mooncake" is not our main agenda but we just can't simply help not to be magnetized by glorious flavours and great colours of the mooncake land!!!

Calling calling cinema discounts!

I've been trying to look for the perfect discount card (credit card, membership card, etc) for cinemas here in Singapore. I just thought of really looking for a card where I can get the cheapest movie tickets for weekends. We love to watch movies so getting a discount card will be very very good for us.

If anyone knows what card can give us big movie ticket discounts for Cathay cinema or Golden Village, please dont be shy to comment. I would love that! ;)

New Pizza @ PizzaHut Singapore

oh.. who doesnt love pizza?!? It's good to know that we get different variety with pizza as well. These days we dont only have the basic hawaiian, parmessan, ham.... food chains inovate too. That's why when I saw the add for this new pizza @ pizza hut called : Cheesy Bite treats!

I love cheese and hotdogs so this pizza is just perfect for me! It has one cup of cheese in the middle of the pizza serving so just dip in whatever you like. Unfortunately you may find this pizza quite salty for some reason, i dont know why, but I still like it.

I wanna eat some licorice candy!

We were strolling around the VivoCity mall when this new food kiosk attracted our sour palette- time  for licorice candy! These are from Spain and can be a good alternative to chorizos?

The colors make me feel like a kid again craving for candies!

We tried the sour strawberry flavor at S$3.50 per stick and 3 sticks for S$10.00. They are selling gift packs too in six licorice candy flavors of your choice!

This is absolutely a street favorite among kids in Europe.

Definitely, this wont be our last bite! LOL
